some of these may end up coming true, but for now its just entertainment and space filler as we wait for more sports to cranked up....ie football season :thefootba

The Phoenix Suns are among the teams most likely to land Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal, according to Shams Charania. The Miami Heat have long been a contender for Beal, but Charania is reporting the Suns have come on late as a contender for the shooting guard.

Here’s a look at some packages Phoenix could put together to get Beal to the desert.

NBA Trade Machine: Bradley Beal to Suns

Trade 1

Suns get: Bradley Beal
Wizards get: Deandre Ayton, Landry Shamet, 2024 1st round swap, 2026 1st round swap

There’s not much Washington can get in terms of future picks, since the draft cupboard is bare for Phoenix after trading for Durant. Ayton would be a replacement for Kristaps Porzingis if the Wizards don’t want to bring him back, and Shamet is a capable veteran shooter. The Suns would likely want to keep Shamet if possible, but Ayton is almost certainly part of the framework here. Chris Paul should be in discussions as well.

This isn’t a great deal for Washington unless the front office believes in Ayton as a future star. The Wizards are entering a true rebuild by dealing Beal, and they’d have to be sure of the young player they’re getting to shape the roster around. Ayton hasn’t exactly shown that in Phoenix, but maybe the change of scenery will help him.

Trade 2

Suns get: Bradley Beal, Daniel Gafford
Wizards get: Deandre Ayton, Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, 2024 1st round swap, 2026 1st round swap

The Suns get Gafford back to make up for Ayton’s departure, and this also opens up more minutes for Ayton in Washington. Paul can be dumped in this deal, but he’ll elevate Washington’s young players quickly. Shamet remains in the deal as a quality rotation player.

This deal essentially has the same framework as the first trade but gives the Suns a big man back while also opening up the lead guard spot for Devin Booker. Booker showed he could be a strong ball-handling guard in this offense, and the Suns could go further with him having even more usage. Paul can serve as a veteran mentor for the young guys in Washington. The Wizards likely don’t bring back Porzingis and Kyle Kuzma in free agency in this deal, and move forward with Ayton as the centerpiece of the rebuild.

Why do the Suns need Beal? What difference would he had made in the Playoffs this year either on offense or defense. How about a guy who can rebound and defend as well as a point guard? I think they should get Van Fleet as a FA and then shop the market for some toughness. You hate Draymond unless he is on your team, but they need a guy like that. Part of the Suns soft personality was their coach, but they still needs players who can play tough when they have to.

Report: Wizards to trade SG Bradley Beal to Suns in blockbuster deal

Washington will give up the All-Star guard and he’ll head West to form a new trio with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker in Phoenix.

The Washington Wizards are trading SG Bradley Beal to the Phoenix Suns in a deal involving Chris Paul, Landry Shamet and multiple picks, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
More to come.

Suns owner has too much money and not enough brains. Hanging around Isaih Thomas too much who has neither money or brains.

SO Chris Paul wasn't waived?
I would assume Washington waives him if they can't find a 3rd team to fully complete Beal trade.

I don't believe there is any chance Paul ever steps on a court in a Wizards uniform.

Correct

He's probably going to be re-routed to the Clippers if I had to guess

(which will also be a huge LOL)

Salary dump by Washington. Beal makes 47 million a year. Has been hurt most of 2 seasons and never has nor ever will play defense.

At least they could dump him. They seemed to be waiting on another John Wall type situation to get nothing at all.

AKA they acquired a horrible contract for a guy that is a volume scorer (that doesn't score that much) and makes them even worse defensively

The NBA Draft is a couple days away, which means chaos is right around the corner!

Only a few weeks have passed since the NBA Finals concluded, but the association never truly rests, as the action has already picked back up again. Bradley Beal was recently traded to the Suns, solidifying a new Big 3 in the desert.

That blockbuster will likely kickstart a run of big trades across the league as contenders look to load up. The draft has historically been the perfect time for such moves, so today I’m highlighting three stars who could be dealt on Thursday night.

Pascal Siakam

Chicago Bulls v Toronto Raptors

We’ve heard Siakam’s name floated consistently in trade rumors this offseason, along with teammate OG Anunoby. Masai Ujiri and the Raptors find themselves in an interesting situation, as Toronto’s roster has plenty of talent but can’t seriously be considered a contender.

Ujiri will have plenty of decisions to make this offseason, starting with Fred VanVleet, who is an unrestricted free agent. Assuming VanVleet walks, Toronto will be somewhat forced towards embracing its youth movement. That’s why I believe Siakam has a better chance to be dealt than Anunoby, despite the myriad of rumors we’ve heard about OG.

I would expect teams on the fringe of contending to be interested in Siakam as a final chip to push all-in. The versatile forward is capable of fitting in a multitude of systems as both a scorer and playmaker, and he’s entering the last year of his deal. All of those factors points towards him being a logical trade candidate for Toronto.

Potential Landing Spots: Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers

Zach LaVine

It was reported recently that the Bulls have quietly been gauging LaVine’s trade market.

That makes sense to a certain degree. It sounds like Chicago is expected to re-sign Nikola Vucevic this offseason, but their front office can’t be content running things back with the “Big 3” of Vuc, LaVine, and DeMar DeRozan.

I floated a potential DeRozan trade in a recent article, and in my opinion, moving on from the veteran forward makes a little more sense than parting ways with LaVine. That being said, the explosive wing’s value is clearly much higher than his older teammate’s, so Chicago could be looking to make a bigger splash than anticipated.

Who knows, maybe the Bulls trade both LaVine and DeRozan. It truly feels like everything is on the table as this team tries to navigate its way out of mediocrity.

If Chicago does decide to move on from LaVine, Miami seems like a logical landing spot if Damian Lillard doesn’t become available. Speaking of the Blazers, I would also expect them to check in if Dame sticks around, as LaVine would be a significant addition to bolster the roster around him.

Potential Landing Spots: Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Portland Trail Blazers

Deandre Ayton

The Suns technically don’t HAVE to trade Ayton, but in reality, they kinda do.

I hopped on 2K23 on Monday to finish building Phoenix’s roster after the Bradley Beal blockbuster. Spoiler alert, it won’t be an easy task.

It makes a lot of sense for the Suns to split Ayton’s massive salary up into two or three rotational pieces to solidify more depth.

The former No. 1 overall pick likely wouldn’t command a huge return, especially considering everyone knows how close Phoenix is to the second apron of the luxury tax. However, there are plenty of teams out there that would love to have him.

As I mentioned in the video above, Dallas is a very logical fit. Mark Cuban loves talent upgrades, and the Mavericks could acquire one for a relative discount in Ayton. If the Mavs end up not being interested, look for rebuilding squads to enter the sweepstakes.

Potential Landing Spots: Dallas Mavericks, Charlotte Hornets, Brooklyn Nets

I decided it is a brilliant move by the Suns as they leave the NBA and join the Cube's threee-on-three league. Isiah has another brainstorm.
